The DMI Band Laboratory


Designing Multisensory Information Band Laboratory is an innovative, boundary-pushing interdisciplinary research laboratory founded in 2022, emerging from the dynamic intersection of mechanical engineering and artistic design. Our laboratory represents a groundbreaking approach to sensory exploration, primarily focusing on the transformation and digitization of tactile, olfactory, and gustatory sensory information.

At the core of our research, we delve into cutting-edge domains that challenge traditional boundaries between technology, human experience, and sensory perception. Our primary research directions encompass:Soft Robotics，Intelligent Wearable Devices，Human-Machine Interaction， Flexible Material Sensors，Immersive Interactive Experiences. Our laboratory embodies a unique ethos—existing simultaneously in the cloud and operating with the experimental spirit of a punk rock band. By challenging conventional approaches and embracing radical innovation, we are actively designing future possibilities and reimagining the potential of sensory interaction.
